Lufthansa öppnar för egen ombokning

Såg just på Facebook att Lufthansa lanserar möjlighet att ändra bokningar fram till 1 timme för avgång, så länge man inte checkat in;

"Not only of benefit to business travellers: from now on if you have booked a ticket on lufthansa.com you can change the booking yourself online up to 1 hour before departure, with very few exceptions (you have already checked in). This means you are no longer dependent on getting through to the Lufthansa Service Centre."

Har inte testat själv än - och det står även en liten brasklapp om att tjänsten endast är tillgänglig i Tyskland än så länge...

If you book your outbound and return flights at the same time, you also have the option of paying for an upgrade to the next travel class. If changing your booking incurs additional cost, e.g. because of a rebooking charge set out in the fare conditions or a surcharge for a higher booking class, this will be displayed and deducted at the end of the transaction through your chosen payment method.

Det vore bara smart om check in automat kunde erbjuda paid upgrade till 100% intjäningsklass eller till Business. Som United har idag.

Upgrade your ticket to Economy H classs: 35 EUR

Upgrade your ticket to Economy Y classs: 80 EUR
Upgrade your ticket to Business Z classs: 120 EUR
Upgrade your ticket to Business C classs: 150 EUR

Förutom upgradering Economy -> Business, behöver flygbolaget inte göra något extra.
Det är väl smart sätt att tjäna extra pengar för samma produkt.
