Jag har även haft kontakt med Florida Health som hänvisar till CDC. Har någon här läst officiell information om att barn skulle vara undantagna?

If you are not fully vaccinated and allowed to travel to the United States by air through an exception
REQUIRED
- Get tested with a viral test 3-5 days after arrival, unless you have documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days.
- Stay at home or in your hotel room and self-quarantine for a full 7 days, even if you test negative, unless you have documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days.
- Isolate if your test result is positive or you develop COVID-19 symptoms.
- If you intend to stay in the United States for 60 days or longer, you must become fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within 60 days of arriving in the United States or as soon as medically appropriate, unless you have a medical contraindication or are too young to be vaccinated.

Requirement for Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination for Air Passengers | CDC
Noncitizen, Nonimmigrants
Noncitizens who are nonimmigrants and seeking to enter the United States by air are required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before boarding a flight to the United States from a foreign country.
If you are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you will NOT be allowed to board a flight to the United States, unless you meet the criteria for an exception under the Proclamation and CDC’s Order.
Categories of noncitizen nonimmigrants that meet the criteria for an exception under the Proclamation and CDC’s Order include:
- Persons on diplomatic or official foreign government travel
- Children under 18 years of age
- Persons with documented medical contraindications to receiving a COVID-19 vaccine
- Participants in certain COVID-19 vaccine trials
- Persons issued a humanitarian or emergency exception
- Persons with valid visas [excluding B-1 (business) or B-2 (tourism) visas] who are citizens of a foreign country with limited COVID-19 vaccine availability
- Members of the U.S. Armed Forces or their spouses or children (under 18 years of age)
- Sea crew members traveling with to a C-1 and D nonimmigrant visa
- Persons whose entry would be in the national interest, as determined by the Secretary of State, Secretary of Transportation, or Secretary of Homeland Security (or their designees)
- You will be tested with a COVID-19 viral test 3–5 days after arrival in the United States, unless you have documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days;
- You will self-quarantine for a full 7 days, even if the test result to the post-arrival viral test is negative, unless you have documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days; and
- You will self-isolate if the result of the post-arrival test is positive or if you develop COVID-19 symptoms.
- You agree to be vaccinated against COVID-19; and
- You have arranged to become fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within 60 days of arriving in the United States, or as soon thereafter as is medically appropriate, unless (for children) you are too young to be vaccinated.
If you are a noncitizen nonimmigrant and are fully vaccinated, make sure your vaccine and proof of vaccination are acceptable to board a flight to the United States.

Här står det tydligt att barn under 18 år undertagna. Men.... jag kan hålla med att det är inte helt glasklart om föräldrarna är ovaccinerade OCH har en godkänt "Exception" om barnen måste testas samt sitta i karantän då. Men jag skulle anta att barnen stannar med föräldrarna under karantänen.
Vi har bokat vår första bonusresa till Californien 14/12 - 17/1 (Helt tack vare detta forum ) Tre av fyra i familjen kommer att vara fullvaccinerade, 10-åringen är förstås ovaccinerad och kan åka under undantaget för barn under 18 år.
Mitt problem är formuleringen ”Based on the category of the exception, you MAY further be required to attest that:” 2 - självkarantän i 7 dagar…
Är det någon som vet vilka kategorier av undantag som måste självkarantäna och vilka som slipper?
Jag förstår att riktlinjerna är nya och att allt inte är solklart än men vi har precis gått från ”Det kommer inte att bli någon resa ” till ”Vi kanske kan åka ändå ” och en veckas karantän är avgörande för oss.

Det gäller bara om någon är ovaccinerade (över 18 år) är min tolkning. Sen finns det bara ett antal "exceptions" som du kan läsa här:

Måste säga att det är inte glasklart om man reser in på exception "Children under 18 years of age" måste den då visa upp negativt test som är 24 eller 72hrs gammalt... och måste denne köra karantän?

Jag uppfattar att barn som följer med vaccinerade föräldrar kommer in i landet men måste som de vuxna ta ett Antigentest innan avresa.

Barn under 18 som är ovaccinerade och reser med föräldrar som är vaccinerade skall ta test senast 72 timmar innan
Requirements for Children:
Children under 18 are excepted from the vaccination requirement for foreign
national travelers, given both the ineligibility of some younger children for
vaccination, as well as the global variability in access to vaccination for older
children who are eligible to be vaccinated.
Children between the ages of 2 and 17 are required to take a pre-departure test.
If traveling with a fully vaccinated adult, an unvaccinated child can test three
days prior to departure (consistent with the timeline for fully vaccinated adults).
If an unvaccinated child is traveling alone or with unvaccinated adults, they will
have to test within one day of departure.

Frågan blir ju sen om det kommer att krävas vaccinpass eller tester för barn vid olika restauranger, nöjesparker, inrikesflyg, butiker etc...
