Har bokat en resa med Swiss i business. Lyckades med konststycket att stava mitt efternamn Nilsson med sss. När jag påtalade detta så sa Swiss att det inte spelar någon roll, men om jag vill ha ett korrekt namn på biljetten så:
- Bokningen canceleras
- Avgift 50 CHF
- Nytt pris beroende på vad som finns tillgängligt vid ombokningstillfället
Är detta verkligen så man hanterar ett av misstag felstavat namn och speciellt då att priset på biljetten kalkyleras om? Och precis som @Glenn E undrar, kan detta ställa till problem på andra sidan jordklotet när det är dags att åka hem?
Svar från Swiss nedan, mina understrykningar:
We wish to advise you that according to our conditions of carriage, changing the name on a booking after it has been made is not permitted. In order to ensure that this regulation is adhered to, reservation and check-in systems are programmed to automatically cancel the booked flights whenever the name of the passenger is changed.
Since your case is the result of an error, we are pleased to inform you that we can make a modification, but we are obliged to charge you a handling fee of CHF 50.- for the additional work and cost involved.
However, as advised to you by my colleague earlier, since there is only one character wrong the name, it will not be necessary to amend it unless you wish to have it corrected. Please be advised that in addition to the name correction fee there would also be a difference in fare according to what is currently available.
