Group market trends, RASK and yield development
During May 2011, currency adjusted RASK was up 3.8% and yield was up 1.7% reflecting certain effects from fuel surcharges. The development is in line with guidance. For June 2011, RASK (change vs last year) is expected to be similar to May. The underlying yield is expected to be slightly negative when excluding certain one off items.
Despite a more stable RASK and yield development in the last months, the market remains unpredictable, due to overcapacity in certain markets and high jet fuel prices. Scandinavian Airlines is continuously improving its customer offering, that is also reflected in our customer satisfaction index. The implementation of the cost saving program is on track.

- The passenger load factor increased by 0.9 p.u. to a record 80.6% for a June month.
- SAS Group carried 2.6 million passengers in June, up 4.9%.
