Delar av ett memo från Frank van der Post, MD Brands and Customer Experience, gällande förbättringar på BA
...But let me start by where it all matters, at the customer end and the improvements and changes coming soon, some smaller and some more significant. Being realistic, some will succeed and some will not go as well and we won't get everything right, but I'm convinced that in the end the successful ones will make a huge difference to our customers and how we do our jobs.
There will be some initial changes in catering where, starting this month, we will improve the offering and trial some special touches for our customers. We will reintroduce nuts in Club Europe, start loading better quality wines in Club World and First (and have enough of them!), improve the quality and presentation of Club World meals and look at ways to upgrade the quality of the World Traveller Plus main course to that of Club World. And yes, we will put the tuck-boxes back on!
We arecurrently running a trial on two of our JFK flights and will offer fantastic, personalised ice-cream sundaes. If the trial is successful, it will be rolled out to more longhaul flights.
We are also improving some of the onboard experiences and are currently concluding a trial with iPads on the GMIS planes. Although there are still some hurdles to overcome, it looks like we can roll this out in the next month or two on all GMIS 777-200 aircraft and possibly on the LCY-JFK route. It will be a great customer improvement until the new Thales systems are installed. Furthermore, we are working closely with Engineering and Operations to put a programme in place to keep our planes cleaner.
From 2012 onwards, we take delivery of more new planes and they will look and feel fantastic. The feedback we get on our new 777-300s is very positive and our customers are rating them highly.
Okay, are you still with me? This is only the beginning; I’m just getting started!....
