Dear Anders,
Thank you for contacting Optiontown and your interest in Upgrade Travel Option (UTo).
We apologize for any inconvenience caused to you. We would like to advise you the following:
• We charged you in USD as we currently don’t accept the payment in VND.
• As per the Terms of Service, we display both the amounts i.e. in MYR and in USD before the Sign-up process is completed i.e. at the Purchase page, confirmation page, payment page and also in the confirmation email that we send after the UTo Sign-Up is complete.
• The difference in charge may be due to the currency conversion cost and fees which is charged by your Bank.
• The same information is still very much available on our website for your reference. We would request you to retrieve your booking and on the next page click on View Details page, you would still be able to see the payment details under Transaction History along with some of the UTo rules.

Dear OptionTown
The answer is appreciated but generic, not to the point:The exchange rate VND/USD is very stable and the difference between buy and sale is almost nil. See e.g. xe.com (1 VND = 0.0000479800 USD (1 USD = 20,842.02 VND Mid-market rates: 2012-11-08 13:15 UTC)
That means a One way upgrade is 801,239 VND = 38.44 USD. Both ways should be less than 77 USD
Your attempt to charge 2 x 82 = 164 which is more than I could have bought a business class ticket for!
There is no show (!)in USD before the Sign-up process is completed ??? All I respond to is VND
The charge in USD has nothing to do with my bank. My bank is USD account and in Vietnam and have government controlled exchange rates.

Indtil kvitteringen kom....
