Nu har jag läst första inlägget i tråden på FlyerTalk.

Det där känns som att den tråden tillhör Veckans konspirationsteori.

Obviously this is a cost cutting measurement, which primarily grounds itself in the fact that management aren't too happy with some cabin crew members being a bit liberal on the Champagne consumption onboard. Additionally there is a crackdown on crew members giving out bottles for passengers to bring off the flight.

Personally I'm in favor of this move, as clearly it's not intended to drink 8 miniature bottles of Champagne on a 2 hour flight. While I find one bottle to be enough, I would be pretty sad to see the Champagne go away completely.

It's only a rumor at this point, and while it hasn't been decided whether it'll be implemented or not, the fact that it has been considered is indeed a tell tale sign that we should expect changes to the CE service concept in the near future.

Before 11:30 - Breakfast croissant
11:30-11:59 - Snack basket
12:00-13:59 - Bap and bun
14:00-onwards - snack basket.

Jeg fløj med fruen CPH-LHR 2. dec i economy efter 14. Der var snack basket - det var egentlig OK (bl.a. crisps og kiks) og stadig fuld bar inklusive Fevertree Tonic. Og sparkling water. Mest OK fordi vi så skulle forbi Galleries First inden vi fløj videre til Edinburgh. Mere imponerenede var næsten domestic, som inkluderer fuld bar og diverse snacks/kiks. Uanset var det stadig - syntes jeg - absolut blandt det bedre economy i Europa (jf. AirFrance fra CPH-CDG, FinnAir CPH-HEL, SAS CPH-OSL og CPH-ARN, Bra MMX-BMA). Retur i Club den 4. dec var også over gennemsnittet, dejligt med et reelt varmt måltid mad og fuld service til 10 min før landing.

På alle 4 flyvninger var servicen i øvrigt god og hyggelig på den britiske måde. Rigtig dejligt at det igen er BA selv om flyver CPH-LHR i stedet for JetTime.
