Hainan Airlines har testat Wifi onboard på deras inrikesflygningar.

Enligt kinesik media testet utfördes på en flygning mellan Beijing-Xi'an (XIY). Under två timmars flygning fick de igång internet 1 timme 10 minuter och de fick maxhastighet över 12 M(bits).

　据了解,海航本次率先试水飞行上网领域,是首批参与飞行上网改装的国内航空公司。早在2012年9月,海航首架波音737-800客机(B5373)顺利完成基于地面基站技术的高带宽空地联网飞行上网系统的改装,此次改装经过严格的地面和机上测试,运行效果良好。

　　今日北京=西安的测试航班全程飞行2个小时,上网时间约1个小时10分钟。“从测试的情况来看,实时视频会议、微信聊天、发微博、收发信件、玩游戏、网上支付等效果比较顺畅,测试上下行带宽达到12M以上,信号十分稳定,超出了预期的测试效果。”海航随机测试技术人员告诉记者。

Hainan Airlines Successfully Tests Air-to-Ground Network

On Feb. 1, Hainan Airlines Company Limited (HU) has launched a test flight for the air-to-ground network connection on flight HU7137 which was from Beijing to Xi'an. At 9:40 a.m., the flight landed safely at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (XIY), marking the success of the airline's test flight for the air-to-ground network.

In the near future, passengers are able to surf internet, play game, send and receive e-mail, and have video conference up in the air. Internet is going to break through the restriction of space to achieve the air-to-ground interconnected service, which is a step forward for the innovation of Chinese civil aviation flight network technology.

It is known that Hainan Airlines is one of the first domestic airlines to take part in the on-board internet modification. In Sep. 2012, a Hainan Airlines' Boeing 737-800 aircraft has successfully been modified with the on-board high bandwidth air-ground online system, and it has achieved a better result after strict ground and on-board testing.
