Tours Available For Transit Passengers
Transit passengers at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport making a stopover of less than 12 hours will now be able to get a taste of of the Thai capital.
The facility will allow thousands of daily passengers with time to spare between connecting flights to take advantage of a variety of tours in Bangkok and the surrounding areas. As an added bonus, anyone taking the tours
will not be required to pay the 700 - Baht airport tax upon checking in for their onward connecting flight.
Besides helping to give passengers something to do during their short stay in transit the passengers will also receive just a small taste of what Thailand has to offer.
Information of the tours will be available on THAI flights and in transfer halls.
Passengers keen to join the a tour will need to do the following:
- Check whether their stopover time is sufficient to allow for the tour
- Ensure the transit stop does not exceed 12 hours
- Select an appropriate tour
- Contact either of the two tour counters that will be set up on both sides of the Transfer Hall and fill in an application form exempting you of the departure tax
- Tour officials will assist passengers with all immigration formalities and take them to join the respective tour
- After the tour, guides will take passengers back to the airport for their departure flight and assist with immigration formalities
