Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (30 June) announced it will open a new base at Gothenburg (No. 74), from September with 1 based aircraft, (an investment of $100m), as well as extra flights to London, which will deliver 600,000 customers p.a., and support 600* “on-site” jobs at Gothenburg Airport.
From September, Ryanair will open a base in Gothenburg and deliver:
·1 based aircraft ($100m)
·13 routes in total
·Extra frequencies to/from London (from 2 to 3 x daily flights)
·600,000 customers p.a.
·600* “on site” jobs
Ryanair celebrated the launch of its new Gothenburg base by releasing seats for sale on its increased Gothenburg route to London Stansted at prices starting from 129 SEK for travel in September, which must be booked by Thursday (2 July).
In Gothenburg, Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs said:
