SAS launches new winter destinations

As part of the route launches for the winter timetable 2013/14, SAS customers will have direct access to the German city of Bremen and the oil region of Humberside in northern England. This brings the total number of new routes for SAS in 2013 up to 52. Furthermore, SAS' direct route to Bangkok reopens in November.

Autumn 2013 SAS customers will enjoy a direct route from Copenhagen to Bremen and back six times a week. SAS is the only airline with a direct route between Copenhagen and Bremen. In addition to the route to Bremen, SAS is launching a direct route between Copenhagen and Humberside in the north of England, also becoming the only airline to operate this route. Both routes are especially attractive to business travelers, who will also have access to good onward connections within the SAS network. Tickets for both routes have just gone on sale.

"We look forward to offering our customers direct, easy access to destinations that are currently not offered by other companies. Humberside and Bremen are particularly important for business travelers, but we also expect that lots of leisure travelers will visit these exciting cities," says SAS Chief Commercial Officer, Joakim Landholm.

More frequencies

Alongside its route launches, SAS is adding more weekly departures on key routes. On the route between Copenhagen and Madrid, SAS is increasing from two departures a week to four (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday).

SAS is also adding more frequencies to the winter timetable on the popular routes between Scandinavia's capital cities - Copenhagen and Stockholm as well as Copenhagen and Oslo. During high traffic periods, SAS is increasing the number of daily departures from 15 to 16 on both routes.

"Our customers, who travel frequently, appreciate the option to choose from several daily and weekly departures. We aim to be the Scandinavian airline that offers the most daily flights to favorite destinations, and one of the ways in which we will do this is once again to invest in the Copenhagen-Stockholm-Oslo triangle," says Joakim Landholm.

Bangkok route reopens

When the peak season for travel to Asia begins, SAS will be reopening the route between Copenhagen and Bangkok, initially with three departures a week, increasing to four when demand is greatest.

The SAS winter timetable 2013/14 comes into effect on the last weekend in October.

Vad vill SAS egentligen???
